OUR CREDO
The Golden Gate has been sealed for many centuries and it is said that it will remain so until the coming of the Messiah. According to tradition the Messiah will enter Jerusalem from the east through the Golden Gate.
Our international movement The Golden Gate invites everyone who wants peace and security to replace the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. Jews, Christians and Muslims believe in the same God, and Jerusalem is a Holy City for all the believers in the One God.
We demand a special internationally guaranteed statute for Jerusalem. Israel must immediately withdraw from all the territories it occupied during the 1967 war and end the occupation. All of the West Bank and the Gaza Strip must be recognized as belonging to an independent State of Palestine. Jerusalem must be turned into a city of peace that all Jews, Christians, and Muslims can visit comfortably, in peace and well-being, and where they can worship in their own sanctuaries.
